Coughing up bloody sputum

Just as title says really, not even got a cough just a very sore throat, scary any ideas?

I'd speak to a pharmacist or ring health direct for advice. It could just be from your sore throat debris mixed with salvia or a chest infection.

could be anything so seeing a doctor is a good idea.

have you had a bad cough or cold recently? I had this once after a bad throat infection and it was nothing scary

What colour is the stuff it's coming up with?

I'm seeing the doctor this afternoon, yellow/green saliva with bright red blood.

do you still have your tonsils? This sounds similar to what I had before the doctor recommended i had mine out.

I think bright red blood is good (im not medical) as it is new and not old blood so sounds like an infection somewhere and a blood vesseling thing has been irritated. good luck with your appointment
