Hi, I'm new-ish here, well have been reading for years but not much of a poster. Anyway, my father is on long term dialysis, he needs a kidney...badly.Where we live there is a 3+ year waiting list on the deceased donor list. We(my siblings and I) have just been to give blood to be tested to see if we are a tissue match to donate to him. Fingers crossed one of us will be a good match. Has anyone gone through this? If a few of you were a match had did you decide who went forward. Did anyone donate a kidney and go on to have more children(I have two LO's)
Thanks

My friend received a kidney from her mum. It took nearly a year to go through the ethics boards and is a far from straightforward process. I would be glad to put you in touch with her.
