(()) huge hugs to figgy and mrfiggy.

Nighty night everyone - another early start for me tomorrow.
enjoyed the sanddance :)
sweet dreams lovelies

AshokanFarewell · 24/04/2013 22:45

Haha I'm staying well clear of the dance off, I'm more like that woman in the background of topsy's video stepping from foot to foot occasionally. Unless it's the Macarena. Then I come into my own Grin

figgy really sorry to hear about you and DH, fingers crossed for you both, I will keep you in my thoughts/prayers Flowers

Hopefully topsy's breakdancing is providing a distraction for all those who need it!

Love to everyone, there have been so many posts today I can't keep up.

Support group was okay. Not really sure about it all at the mo especially as it seems to have turned into a support group/exercise group Confused plus one lady sort of took over and did lots of talking. Hopefully she will calm down next time!

I shall attempt to catch up with everyone's posts in the morning, goodnight all :)

jchocchip · 24/04/2013 22:46

oh and kk I get support calls from my mum all the time - tonight they had not given her the bed buttons. and the tv has to have the correct remote not the one from the other room ;) and she fiddles with the back and loses the batteries...

Copthallresident · 24/04/2013 23:16

nothing wrong with denial and distraction Wink

Dropped Damien, went off with Don............

Just watched that 24 hours of NHS episode that covered a chemo unit .
Well and truly bloody depressed now Hmm

Not that the people were saddos or owt . Just seeing people having chemo given to them hit me like a punch to the stomach .
I swear I can taste that metallic taste I used to get at the back of my mouth when I had my chemo ...

I'm having another non sleeping night I think .
Where's that paranoia box ?
I think I'll give it a right good kicking !

Copthallresident · 25/04/2013 00:05

Topsy Oh fuck, glad I didn't watch that... FFS Scott and Bailey were on so you would only have had to worry about paedophilia, rent boys, and weirdo murder, with so many strong female characters it was getting a wee bit beyond belief Grin.

None of us need those reminders, especially manipulated by some young ignorant prat of a director to make whatever point he wanted to make to get ratings.............

topsyturner · 25/04/2013 00:07

I watched Scott and Bailey too Cop
Think I must be in "sucker for punishment" mode Grin

smee · 25/04/2013 00:30

What were you thinking watching that Topsy when you could have been dancing ŵith me?! I got distracted by the bar, so let's call it a draw. Been sitting with lovely women drinking beer and plotting a radical overthrow of conference tomorrow. Grin

Ash, stick with the group. I think sometimes people just need to let it all out, then they can be okay iykwim.

Night all. Got to be intelligent tomorrow and I haven't done my homework, so will be up early mainline coffee. Hope you all sleep well xxx

smee · 25/04/2013 00:32

I have no idea what all those squiggles in my last post were.. Confused

Gigondas · 25/04/2013 03:24

C'mon sit in bed and have drugs and eat biscuits with me topsy. Medical dramas are a no (unless er or greys anatomy).

I can't watch Macmillan ads without nearly being sick.

I have a new love -my pain dr. Gave nurses a kicking about changing my drugs . He works with my onc and is now going to be part of team so that ongoing issues( eg nerve pain) are delt with. He has a super nice manner too and looks like penfold.

sparklesunshine · 25/04/2013 03:28

Figgy - hope the biopsy comes up normal. My uncle had his kidney removed due to cancer, with no other treatment. He's healthy 20 years later. Hope your DH's treatment is simple and effective.

Do they do pocket bras in odd sizes? I'm 32F at the moment and have enough trouble finding something I like without needing to add more complications.

topsyturner · 25/04/2013 08:13

Morning All

Did get some sleep after all , but had weird dreams .
Dreamt I was 3 months pregnant !!!

Gigs Dr Penfold sounds deeeelish !
I think we all should have a Dr Penfold Grin

Going to a friends house this morning . Will be taking my crochet project , and all my saved up denim . Think I am going to start chopping up the denim to make a patchwork backing for the blankie .

Actually what I want to do is climb back into bed . But the friend I am visiting is very isolated and really needs the company .
She's the only reason I'm getting dressed today .

Gigondas · 25/04/2013 08:33

Yes we all should- he is kind, hands out drugs and looks out for you.

Shock At pregnancy dream- I am still puzzling over horse whisperer dream.

Getting out of bed quite tough some days but sure will be good when see her. Won't denim be quite a rigid blanket backing?

I need to finish knitting blanket for mini gig but tough with my hand. May be a job for grandma.

Am nil by mouth now as removing bump later today. So try and minimise food chat .

amberlight · 25/04/2013 08:41

Don't you worry, Gigs, not a word about food will pass our lips. Nothing at all. No Sireeee. Shan't mention it at all....
(and jolly good luck for today and the myriad joys of lump removing stuff...get MrGigs to let us know what's what if you can??)
Morning all. Brew all round?

Gigondas · 25/04/2013 08:44

Watches Brew drinking. Will either get mr gig to update or do it myself. It is under general I think but meant to be a day procedure (it is size of big insect bite) so hopefully it won't be huge recovery job.

It is also with my original surgeon who is slightly less intimidating and brusque than spinal surgeon.

MaryAnnSingleton · 25/04/2013 09:01

I won't mention food ! lots of luck with that today dear gig xxxxx
Dr Penfold sounds adorable.
Please send some nice vibes to my v dear friend's girlfriend who is having results of tests today on a lump on her tongue- she's been told it's cancer (sigh- will it ever end ?) but these tests will determine treatment etc..arghh.
Am drawing, then dusting a bit then coffee (sorry gig) with friend at W cafe.

OP posts:
Gigondas · 25/04/2013 10:22
