Uterus has moved to the left? Really worried...

I went to my GP a couple of weeks ago because I had recurrent thrush and also a few niggly pains (bladder/pelvis area). She took a few swabs and did a pelvic examinsation and told me that my uterus had moved entirely to the left, which needed investigating. I now have a scan for the 16th of April for bladder, uterus/ovaries and transvaginal.

I am really worried, the niggly pains have continued and after googling I am imagining all sorts of horrible scenarios. Just wanted to know if anyone else has had these symptoms before?

Try not to use Dr Google as you will only think the worse :) Really try not to worry until you have the scan on the 16th. I think it is impossible for anybody to comment because we don't know your medical history as you might have had children or might not, your age, etc etc. It may well be due to a prolapse if you have had children for instance. I think your GP is just doing routine investigations for the symptoms you have and just trying to be thorough, but that in itself can cause anxiety because everybody assumes the worse when scans are mentioned. Please try not to worry :)

I have had 4 children so it could well be that - however with other symptoms
it could probably be cysts too. I guess I will just have to wait and try not to
imagine the worse!!!

When I had a smear a few years ago the nurse couldn't find my cervix , I made another appt with the GP and she found it, back and to the left, or something. So maybe it is just in an unusual position but 'normal'.
