I go to the gym twice a week (should be 3).
I drink a glass of wine or two about twice a week. My children don't wake me in the night although Dh sometimes snores and can be restless.
I wake up briefly a couple of times and sometimes go for a wee. I feel like I am sleeping between about 11 and 7.

But five days out of seven I am head-lollingly exhausted.

Feel ridiculous and fed up. Anyone got any suggestions for supplements etc?

Low in iron? Might be worth a visit to the GP?

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 09/05/2006 10:50

Under-active thyroid? Anaemic?

foxinsocks · 09/05/2006 10:52

I would get checked out for iron

I also wouldn't rule out the effect of your husband's snoring. I realised yesterday that I cannot remember the last time I actually slept straight through the night without waking up. Dh's snoring causes me to wake up several times in the night. If this is the same for you, then perhaps it's time to make your dh go to the doctor or try out some ear plugs!

I'd forgotten about iron. Good call. Smile

Think I will risk looking like a patsy at the GPs and make an appointment.

Fox already wear wax ear plugs nightly. Can't be without them.

cheers.

get your thyroid levels checked

seriously, make an appointment at the GP today and ask for a blood test to check your thryoid function as you are experiencing chronic fatigue

Thanks Suzy that's very validating!

Have just made an appointment.

DH has been suffering with insomnia and depression for a few months, although he gets up and tries to sleep in other nests round the house so doesn't disturb me that much. I've just felt like such a 'me too with the tired thing' lollygagger. He is so stoic and I'm so terribly rubbish when tired.
