Abnormal Smear and need a LEEP under GA, how long for pre op assessment to come through?

Hi all :) I have an abnormal smear test result where I have moderate dyskaryosis and I had a colposcopy done a week ago today where they also took 2 biopsies. The gyno did offer to treat me there and then but she then offered for the hospital to do it under GA as I'm needle phobic and she could see I was terrified.

Has anyone had a LEEP done under GA? and how long did it take for your pre op appt to come through? or how long would you leave it until you chased them up? as I'm not happy about it left to grow and I'm terrified of the results tbh. I just want this over with. TIA :)

Sadly when you get it treated will be dependant on where you are "in the system" - the NHS has to make sure that you reach a stage of either being on treatment/active monitoring or similar within 18 weeks of referral from your GP.

IIWY I'd call the colposcopy coordinator today just to make sure that the booking has gone through (many departments still rely on paper forms to facilitate bookings and these can easily get lost). If they are unable to give you an answer today then leave it another week and call back - at this point they should be able to give you a firm date for at least pre assessment, if not the op as well.
