hi I've signed up for the race for life in june but am finding it really difficult to get out to run. I'm a complete running novice and can only manage a few minutes at a time with breaks (following the race for life training plan) I've got two kids (2.3 and 9m) Has anyone else ever been out running with a double buggy (i've got a 3-wheeler) I live in the counrtyside and the route option is the wee back road around the village.

I think I'm nuts!!!

I haven't run with a double buggy but I tried it with my Urban Detour single buggy, which is a 3-wheeler and personally I found the front wheel would wobble a lot.

Why dont you try quick-walking rather than running?

i can walk for britian but i'm rubbish at running and i've promised my SiL that i'll run with her in the race. I'm just really bad at the really early morning run option when hubby is around to stay with the kids and other than a treadmill which i don't have and can't get hold of it's my only other option

When my DTS were 5 months, I attempted running around the park with my 3 wheeler double buggy. Never again! It was too cumbersome. Instead, I ran at weekends when DH was home plus one week day evening. Last year, when DTS were 16 months old, I ran one 5k Race for Life and a couple of months later I did a 10k race. I felt so exhilerated afterwards plus I lost most of the 4 stones that I put on with the pregnancy. The last 10lb is coming off slowly though.

Good luck!
