Migraine - sumatriptan/ibuprofen/ aspirin & coca cola. Safe?

Belter of a migraine

Took a couple of neurofen at first as I thought it was a headache. Soon realise not so took an Immigran (2 hours later). I am a bit hit and miss with Triptans and this time it didn't work (3 hours ago). I have just read in MN about 3 aspirin dissolved in Coca Cola being quite effective

Am i safe to try this?

Miserable.

Thank you.

I'd take another sumatriptan. If it's a real nasty migraine then one often doesn't cut it for me but the second will.

Really Rightup? That's interesting. Every bit of advice seems to be 'if the first one doesn't work, don't take another'

How long so you leave between first and second dose?

If you read the info leaflet that comes with them it says "if the symptoms start to come back take another one as long as 2 hours has passed since taking the first but do not take more than 300mg in 24 hours".

What strength are yours? I'm talking about standard 50mg ones. From an overdose safety point of view you could take 6 in 24 hours and not be in any danger. You wouldn't, obviously, but you could.

It does also say if the first has no effect then don't take another one but I know, for myself, another one helps.

I regularly take sumatriptans for my migraines and I have had to take 2 in one day before and the migraine did finally go. A can of coke does sometimes help too. Good luck!

Ok will try another with some coke and failing that ill try the aspirin dissolved in coke. Thanks
