Warts

My DS is covered in warts as he does a lot of swimming and we went to the doctor about 9 months ago who said they would just disappear with time. It is molluscum I think. Now it is the summer and shorts are in for school, DS embarrassed about the warts. Has anyone found a miracle treatment for this?

we tried a few of the home remedies mentioned on here but eventually they just went away. Don't be alarmed if they fill with blood and burst - ds's did this and it actually was the beginning of the end. Once they had bled, they disappeared a few weeks later.

I reckon we had them for around a year or so.

Hate to add a downer on this one but my dd started getting warts on her hands when she went into junior school and they are still there now, 5 years later!! Have been to GP, have tried wartner, have tried salycilic(sp?) acid, banana skins, dandelions, etc etc. The only things that have made any improvement have been gaffer tape, or raw garlic. Good luck and any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for that. They are a pain. I am trying bee propolis at the moment which appears to dry them out but then new ones appear. He keeps asking me if this will make them go away and I just have to say we have just got to try. There are worse things but they are just a pain.

I had several over my hands right through secondary school - just left them, though do remember taking a scourer to them at 14! they did just disappear almost overnight when I hit 17.

though, my nan insisted that i should steal a piece of raw beef, rub it over them and then throw the beef away. can't say I tried it.
