Does anyone take Imigran/sumatriptan for migraines?

I was just wondering how they affect you when you take them. I've been prescribed them for the first time and I'm due a migraine tomorrow. I have the kids all to myself this weekend and we have quite a few things to do - football practice etc. etc. and I noticed one of the side effects is drowsiness.

I wondered if this is common or hopefully one of those side effects that gets listed but doesn't often happen!

I have taken Imigran quite a bit and another one I can't remember the name of - you were supposed to take it everyday regardless of whether you had one or not.

Tbh I didn't notice anything much - I know the weight is a big thing which put me off at first and I probably did put a bit on but a few pounds not much. They certainly did take the edge of the heads which used to last up to 2 weeks for me.

Gd luck
