What's your best cold/flu treatment?

I have just gone back to work and DS has started nursery and DS has given me a cold already.

My DH has gone to London for a few days for work. Can anyone share there remedies with me it's my first day with DS and I don't want to waste it.

I swear by hitting the soluble Vit C and zinc tablets. I take a couple of them each day when I have a cold. Keeping up the fluid intake really helps me too, plenty of water which I constantly sip.

If you have the shivers i would try drinking a hot infusion of ginger or ginger tea whilst sweating out in a hot bath. This can help with temp control.

But rest is a good cure...
