Cyst after fall?

DD1 had a fall about 2 months ago and landed on her face. She had a huge black eye and a cut just beside it, which didn't seem very deep and healed quite fast but with a big hard lump under the skin. GP says it's a cyst which might go away by itself but it's definitely not getting any smaller - in fact seems bigger if anything, now like an over-sized pea and hard, like a stone. Anyone come across anything like this?

I may be scare-mongering here, but I think you ought to get a second opinion. My aunt (a nurse) says that people who generally heal well can sometimes heal too well, and the outer layers of skin can heal over before the inside of the wound has healed. This happened to my mum with a splinter in her knuckle and she ended up having to have surgery and a lot of specialised physiotherapy as a result of her GP not taking her seriously.

Sorry to be alarmist, but this is just from my experience - maybe others will say that it has happened to them/theirs, and that the GP is right.

I meant 'heal too quickly', rather than 'heal too well'.
