I think I have a contact lens stuck in my eye...any advice...?

I got mixed up, and I think I may have put one in on top of the other. I tok one out, and now my eye is really blurry, but I can't get a lens out. I have looked with a torch, but I can't see it. I can't keep trying because my eye is getting sore. It might not even be in there...... feels very wrong.

I recently got a corneal ulcer when something like this happened. I know it sounds strange, but my thumbs are really big, so when I remove my lenses, sometimes it is a bit clumsy.

schrosaw I think you are right and there isn't one in there, it has settled now, just sore.

Yes, no sleeping on it. My Mum did that and ended up with a detatched retina! Make sure there really isnt anything in there.

It's useful to have a bottle of sealed saline for things like this, even if you use disposables, you can then just flush your eye.

Also I tend to wear coloured lenses - much easier
to see if they have scrunched up.

And the eye licking - Billy Connolly tells a story about working in shipbuilding and if you got a piece of metal in your eye some bloke would lick it out for you.

I've done this a few times. I wear disposable ones. Sometimes I take off my makeup & forget to take it out then I can't remember if I did or not. I've checked in my eye & can't see it. I've made my eye sore looking. I have refresh drops. If I had left it in the next morning I've found it folded up in the corner of my eye. It's such a relief to find it.

Thanks....I just left it and it calmed down. Wasn't one in there, I'm such a dick head at times
