WTF is going on with my periods?

I've had three periods since the start of the school year. Unfortunately I didn't note down exactly when they were, but thinking in terms of school weeks (I'm a teacher so tend to) that can't be right can it?

One was about two weeks into term and the third has just started today. That's roughly one every 2.5 weeks. I'm usually on a regular 28ish day cycle.

Anyone know any reasons for periods getting more freqent?

Could not say but I do know that any changes to your usual cycle should be reported to the GP.
