It never rains does it?? After having DS1 in agony all weekend with his scratched eye, DS2 was whingey all night and has a pretty spectacular measles type rash today.

I'm presuming it's German measles as he's had his MMR, I'll just dose him up with calpol and see how he goes. Kids eh Smile

shouldn't be german measles if he's had his MMR, should it? I think the Rubella part should give immunity to german measles.......

So if he's been vaccinated it shouldn't be either. What is the difference between German and regular measles? Should he be seen by a doctor for it do you think?

it could be just a viral rash if he's well in himself. I wouldn't worry too much if he doesn't seem ill but you might want to get it checked out anyway, for peace of mind.

There's mumps going round in Iowa, just now, despite most people having received MMR. Apparently, it can be ineffective in about 10% of all who are given it.

It's worth going to see the doctor.

I'll keep a close eye on him, he's grumpy so I'm struggling to get a good look all over. Thanks for the advice Smile
