Bruised gums

My ds is teething again and one of his back gums is swollen and black, It's quite hard and obviously causing him a bit of pain, although not if he's occupied with something else. Is this sort of bruising (I'm assuming that's what it is, it could be something else, though) normal with teething or do you think it's some sort of infection or something?

Have you tried teetha for when he is teething, i swear by it for my kids as it really works.

I have spoken about this on another thread called my wee chap is ill again or something like that by chapsmum
