yesterday i noticed that dd (9 months) had bad breath. similar smell to when my sister had a throat infection.

she also has a temperature. what should i do?

is it enough to just give calpol or could this be a sign of something i sould get medical attention for?

she is eating and playing normally!

If she is eating and playing I would not be unduley worried. Bad breath can be a sign of cattarh or a sign of a throat or tummy infection. If she is otherwise well I would keep and eye on her and phon NHS24 if you are really worried.

good advice there
I was suggest you keep a close eye on her for pulling her ears as well, IME a throat infection often spread along the tubes and get to the ears pretty quickly and that is very discomforting for a baby.

ds always had bad breath when he used to suffer from tonsilitis. GP told me it's a definate sign.
I would take her to GP for antibiotics.
