hello! sorry that i seem to keep dropping in and out. i'm still getting my head around it all, and then caught my daughter's flu for the weekend. hopefully that's the last of the bugs for a long long time!
thanks for reassuring me about the PICC, i'm happy to know it's not actually a direct line to my heart. plus, painless sounds great. i'm a big fan of painless. i really don't like the bruises from all my puncture wounds so far, so don't even want to imagine what chemo would do to my veins.
i'm also really happy to hear that most people have been able to avoid infections even when they're living with kids. they're going through so much already, i have no intention of avoiding them even if they're full of snot. becoming a hand washing fascist, yes, but snuggling up all the same.
anyone heard from pen? such a long process, hopefully it's almost done now.
also, as someone who worked in contraception before dropping it all for cancer treatment, hormones are funny things. they make people react in all sorts of good and bad ways. i'm happy the bcn wasn't worried about periods, but they may be able to tweak dosage a bit if you're still hurting? i would personally consider the lack of periods one of the few bonuses of that process.
i get my full results tomorrow. i'm assuming (actually blindly praying although I'm not particularly religious) there's nothing extra in there and we can start killing this cancer on friday.
thinking of you all, hope your cells are reproducing at the standard, healthy rate. (such a strange strange disease)
