Is this something odd, or can it be a allergy?

Hiya all
When i eat some types of food, i get a feeling in my throat in which it swells right up, and need to be sick urgently. However, being sick isnt easy, and it feels like im chocking again on it.
I cant see anything similar, ie, its not always on the same food, it is normally meat though.
It feels like my breathing alters.
I cant normally carry on eating after it, but sometimes can.
Any advice??
This is also in allergies, so any advice is needed. Thanks!!

sounds possible that it could be allergy related. if your breathing is affected, I think you should get checked out by your GP.

Sounds like dysphagia (difficulty in swallowing) which can be caused by a lot of different conditions.

You need to see your GP.

my aunt had something similar, it turned out to be a narrowing of the oesophagus. her most effective treatment was to eat something every hour, instread of 3 meals a day, to force the narrowing to gradually re-open and stay open.
At the time all sorts of diseases/conditions were mentioned, including cancer, as she lost a lot of weight.
So I would definatly go see your GP to both treat whatever it is, and to rule out anything more serious.

forgot to add, I also agree that it does sound like an allergy or intolerance.
