pregnancy and hayfever

im pregnant and im suffering with hayfever what can i take every time i sneeze it feels as if the baby is gonna shoot out

See the GP. You can't take most over the counter stuff, but mine prescribed Otrivine nasal spray on the grounds that less of the antihistamine gets into the bloodstream. I found it worked OK and I get dreadful hayfever (was on terfenadine until they banned it Shock)

I was too scared to take any antihistimine at all - so just suffered through it - you could try acupuncture?

jayjay - i'm suffering too but am so far just putting up with it.its got much worse this week though. will keep an eye on this thread!!

I was told by my GP that Piriton is ok to use during pregnancy.
I used it when pregnant with Dd1+2.

doesn't piriton make you drowsy?

i'm desperate for some relief!
