3 week old baby has spots on face, chest, neck and shoulder

hi there, my baby has developed what looks like baby acne on his face, neck, shoulder and upper chest. He's still feeding (breast feed exclusively) sleeping and being alert and happy - with a normal temperature - it's just that obviously it doesnt look great/normal and as a new mother i'm concerned (and can't get a GP appointment until tomorrow).
Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Are you still washing in just water? When DS got spots at about 3-4 weeks we started using a bit of baby wash in his water and they went away quickly.

This sounds absolutely normal to me. Babies have perfect skin to begin with but as they become exposed to the normal environment around them their skin reacts. All 3 of my ds got these spots and in fact I don't know of a baby that hasn't got these spots. Just in case you could ask your health visitor but I wouldn't have thought you need to see a gp. Once their skin 'toughens up' they go away again and their skin improves.
