Does this sound as if it's viral to you?

Teenage DD got tummy ache while eating her lunch last Friday (she was eating normally until then). Managed to eat a tiny bit during the rest of Friday and Saturday but hasn't eaten since. Hasn't been sick or anything like that but complains about tummy ache which seems to be high up and in the middle. Feels pretty poorly (but then given the amount she's had to eat, that isn't surprising). Is drinking OK. I just got a couple of teaspoons of jelly down her but she refused any more. She doesn't seem to have a temperature. Any thoughts?

IM(limited)E if she's been ill that long but not deteriorated, it's probably not serious - ie not raging bacterial infection! But if she's not improving, I'd get her to the doc ASAP just to get checked.

My dh is a GP and he always says he'd rather see someone ill or in pain than not, even if all he can do is put your mind at rest!

It doesn't sound viral to me, although I'm no expert.

I would see a GP at this point, I think. Nearly a week of barely eating is not good. I wonder if it's gallstones or something like that.

Poor thing. Hope she feels better soon.

Definitely don't think it's gallstones .... had my gallbladder out in November .... and her symptoms are totally different to mine. While I don't want her to be throwing up all over the place, at least I would know what was going on iyswim! Yes, I think a trip to the Drs is probably in order.
