ok. So a really good friend of mine called for help today as she had been sent home from work ill, but had unfortunately locked herself out of the house. I offered to go get her keys from where she had left them (at work) but she was panicking and anxious and wanted someone with her. She had been sick on the way home.

so i went straight around and had to use her phone etc. obviously stayed with her until she got into house and then she asked me to go and run an errand, which i did, when i got back she had been sick again and had begun with diarrhoea.

I said it sounded like noro which is rife, given that i was there for about an hour how likely is it that i will come down with it now?

I confess that while on the errand i went and bought hand sanitizing gel and used it - also wiped down the car steering wheel etc....am i being daft? its just i have to drive both Tuesday and Weds and if i get this while im out im screwed....what are the chances of me getting it from being around her, touching her and obviously the door handles etc...

Hand sanitizer does not remove Noro it needs to be thorough hand washing with soap.

It's incubation period is 12-48 hrs usually.

Fingers crossed you don't get it .

We have just come out the other side...

A week of it, both babies, dh and myself.

Free of sickness for a few days, house totally cleaned, sanitised etc.

Bil comes for the weekend, and left with it! No idea how, like I said everything has been scrubbed, washed etc. we have all been symptom free for the last few days.

I hope you don't get it, it's bloody nasty Sad

On the plus side, I lost 5lb Grin

so if i get through the next 2 days without upchucking im home and dry then (i hope)

im really quite annoyed about it - id have happily gone and got the keys but just to have me there to hand hold while chucking up i thought was a bit selfish.

im out tomorrow all day, and have an important appt on Weds that would be very hard to reschedule. The last thing i would do if i got norro is call someone to come round!

the virus can live for up to 6 months barbie and only bleach based cleaner gets rid.

if i get this i am going to SCREAM.
