14 yr old has inflammation in here ear and has been deaf in it for over 3 weeks

dd1 has been complaining of not being able to hear for over 3 weeks now.She was given antibiotics on Thursday (4 days ago) and I was told these would "definitely"clear it.I know it's only Monday now,but there doesn't seem to be any change at all as far as her hearing is concerned.She's also experiencing a bit of feeling faint,although,for the last week she's had this horrible bug that's been going around to top things off.(The deafness occurred before the bug). Should I be panicking?

My DS had a deaf ear from swimming it went on for years (of me ignoring him... ) then to doctors... ear specialist... he had a grommit put in a week ago (nothing too horrible he even liked being on teh baby ward!) and it's cured. So possibly its glue ear?
Alternatively, a few years ago he had labarynthitis - which was treated with pills and a few days off school. I'd take her to the doctor rather than panic.
