Reoccurence of chicken pox, 3 weeks after the first spots?

DD had chicken pox 3 weeks ago, a week after the first spots came out she got a second very nasty lot, that were all very large and became purple and infected. Took her to gp who gave her some antibiotics. Anyway I noticed this morning a new very poxy looking blister type spot in her groin, I can't believe it as she is or was my only non contagious child, is there anyway this could still be chicken pox?? Any experience of this aanyone?
Am running off now but will check for replies later TIA

one can have cp more than once... my nanny found out the painful way as she caught it again from dd.

But as your dd's case was so severe she shouldnt be getting them again I think.

Best bet is take her to see the GP, maybe it's just another flareup or another nerve virus that piggy backed on the cp virus? If that makes any sense... shingles or the like?

not much help but it bumps you :)

oh boy poor dd and poor you!
my dd only had it for 1 week and not too badly, then I had 2 weeks break and ds got a very mild form, so he's probably going to catch it again when he starts nursery. But that was bad enough!
Is your dd o.k. with it or rather miserable? My dd insisted I stroke her back/tummy/legs etc. through the night because she was itchy. Well at least she didn't scratch :)
