can a 1 year old get thrush in the mouth also what would thrush on a little boys bits look like?

Yes, they can get thrush in their mouths at any age. On a little boy's bits it would be red, sore and itchy.

DD2 has thrush but she's only 6 weeks old, i think any one at any age can get oral thrush, i know adults who have had it.

Sounds like thrush ... do you have any Canesten that you can put on it until you can get him to the GPs? He'll need drops for his mouth, but if you've got some Canesten you can start treating his penis now.

You can also get him to eat some pro-biotic yoghurt in the mean time, that can help to keep down the stuff in his mouth.
