Should I be worried

The last few times I've had sex it has been painful in certain positions. Also thought I had thrush so used some cream but the last two days there has been pink discharge (blood in it). Do you think this is connected to the pain I've had and should I be worried?

Sorry if TMI.

Well from what you are telling me I would definitely go to your gp. Not saying there is anything to worry about but best to get it checked out. Without a swab taken you won't know.
Good luck :)

always being told that if you bleed after sex you should go to the gp.
Dont worry, you may be just sore with the thrush, but go get checked anyway

Mistymoo · 21/04/2006 22:21

Would it be sore that deep inside if it was thrush?

if it's inside, you may have another infection.
Do you have stomach pain/any other symptoms at any other time?

Auntymandy · 21/04/2006 22:27

if you have thrush, hubby needs to use cream too. otherwise you will be reinfected! dunno how far inside thrush can go!
Use a supository (sp) but i would get checked, mught be a simple infection

Mistymoo · 21/04/2006 22:33

I have no other pain. I had a smear a couple of months ago so don't think it can be anything serious. Not totally sure it is thrush either though.

I'm just confused!!!!!!!

go to GP. Don't be unduly worried but get it checked out.

When I look back on when I had my ovarian tumour the only symptom I thought I could have noticed beforehand was painful sex. So whilst there's no reason at all why you should have anything nasty wrong with you and I REALLY don't want to alarm you at all as what I had was very very unusual, do check it out becuase better safe than sorry. Chances are it's some sort of infection that the doc will be able to sort out easily.

Should I just get an appt for next week or should I call out of hours tomorrow?

how worried are you?
Our Gp does a saturday morning drop in!

Mistymoo · 21/04/2006 22:55

Not too worried. I think I'll leave it until next week. Otherwise I have to go through NHS Direct.

I started to bleed after i had my son by section and a cell had dropped out of my uterus and settled on my cervix so would get banged everytime. The doc froze it off and havent had any problems since. Just wanted to let you know that there can be other non worrying things that can make you bleed.
