My eye's been really twitchy for the past week or so and it is driving me nuts. What causes this and what can I do to sort it out? Suggestions please, on a postcard...

I've been getting a twitchy eye too. Makes me wonder if people think I'm winking at them Grin. I thought it was down to tireness???

SoupDragon · 21/04/2006 20:33

mancmum · 21/04/2006 20:38

tiredness and stress are main causes.. also wrong prescription glasses and dry eyes... just had it really badly and last 2 were the cause!

MeggLeVache · 21/04/2006 20:39

I get this an awful lot. It is fatigue and stress. have two weeks in South of France my GP told me, errr, thanks.

janeite · 21/04/2006 21:37

I got this when we moved house a couple of months ago. It stopped after about a week but was very weird at the time!

hunkermunker · 21/04/2006 21:38

Early sign of rabies. Or woodworm.

CHICagoMUM · 21/04/2006 21:39

busybusybee · 21/04/2006 21:41

Tiredness and stress

I also read it is caused by too much looking at a computer screen..........

CHICagoMUM · 21/04/2006 21:42

jalopy · 21/04/2006 21:49

I get this. Usually caused by stress or tiredness. Can go on for days then stop for months. Strange.

sparkler1 · 22/04/2006 11:08

PMSL @ Hunkermunker Grin

willow2 · 03/06/2006 20:52

I saw my gp about this only last week (was actually there about something else, so just mentioned it!) He confirmed what others have said, that it is caused by tiredness and stress and is not an indication of anything more sinister. I've had it for over a month now - it seems to be worse when I drive.

sfxmum · 03/06/2006 21:19

another tiredness and stress doomed to have it

DumbledoresGirl · 03/06/2006 21:21

I have been getting this lately too. Is it only in one eye Willow? It is for me.

southeastastra · 03/06/2006 21:34

Ive had twitchy eye for about 6 weeks now, bizarre, one eye, i must spend too much time on this! its so annoying

imaginaryfriend · 03/06/2006 21:52

Tiredness. Definitely. I also feel like there's lots of pressure behind my forehead which I think is also tiredness.
