I'm 30weeks pregnant and Went to hospital today with non specific symptoms had bloods taken got the results and was sent home told they were ok.
However it says on my blood work results sheet that ny co2 levels were flagged as low at 18mmol/L when the reference's are 22-29 and my hgb levels are 11.1g/dl when the reference is between 11.5 and 16.5 .. im sure they would have told me if it was anything to worry about but i just worry that they didn't notice or looked over it by accident.. Does anyone know what low levels in these areas means and should i make an appointment to talk to my dr when i get back from visiting family next week ? x

Don't know anything about CO2 levels, but hgb is to check for anaemia I believe. When I was pg with dc2 mine was too low (under 10) so had to have iron tablets.

Crack on with red meat, leafy greens and dark choc etc now and you can avoid the stomach churning iron tablets later.

If you are worried you can ask your mw, or a nurse practitioner...or maybe even ask NHS direct. But those numbers sound really close to normal.

Thank you :)
I'll start eating more iron rich foods see if that helps. Thanks Again :D x
