I have Otitis External; I have been popping drops in since 20th Dec......do I need to go back?

Do you still have the problem? If so yes go back if its cleared just stop using the drops.

It's variable I think. Had it last year, first time ever, could not believe how painful an ear infection could be. Got prescribed antibiotic spray, and I must have been worried about discomfort and deafness going on too long, because I distinctly recall searching on here. It went gradually This winter, had it much milder and on and off. Got worse last week and ended up at GP, although typically it improved just before I went down to the surgery. Got drops this time, prescribed for 10 days. NHS Choices website was useful on this condition IMO, when I looked last week. None of which answers your question, sorry.
