Thirsty in night - do vapourizers help?

Am always waking up thirsty in night (not breastfeeding). Would a vapouriser help? If so which one would you recommend and are they noisy?

Is a vapouriser the same as a humidifier btw?

What i mean is - would some water vapour being pumped into the air stop me waking up thirsty? Anyone got one?
