Sore where catheter was but negative for uti

Gave birth almost two weeks ago. No tears just bruising. Had epidural and catheter and it is v sore where catheter went in. Went to Gp who tested urine and negative for uti. Have treated as if for thrush (pessary three days running) as I am susceptible and in some ways feel better so think I did have a touch of thrush, but it some ways more sore as now starting to be more painful when I wee whereas before was just all the time and also v painful when I wipe.

Back to GP Monday?

Anything I can do to alleviate symptoms before then?

Cranberry juice? It can't hurt and might help.

could be a urethral tear that you prevent healing by wiping ?

may need an examination by GP or have a look with a mirror , inbetween vagina and clit...quite hard to find in some people

maybe not a tear but a sore bit caused by the catheter

Not that I desperately want people to examine me bits but midwives and Gp seem reluctant to look. Will book appt for mon.

Sounds like a tear or a bruise to me. Some midwives can be brutal with a catheter if you have a epidural.

Would a tear fix itself?

Feels a bit burny now so may have to see ooh tomorrow.
