wasn't sure what to do so have started a new thread. I tried my ds on diluted milk this am, was okay until lunch time when he vomited all the milk and solids up. This has been going on since Friday, with keeping off dairy and retrying every 24hrs. He's 7 mo old and is now so hungry I don't know where to go from here. Doctors seem to think I must give him anything that doesn't make him vomit but stay off milk? Getting really worried.

Is he having food yet? The big thing to watch for (as you know) is dehydration. My dd got very dehydrated after 2 weeks of d&v at 11m after she caught measles. She went downhill very gradually over about 24 hrs. The signs of dehydration include a dry mouth, no tears and being very listless. My the time my dd got admiteed she'd even lost the strength to sit up or even cry! If you're worried pester your gp or a&e if it's late. Without exagerating I took my dd around 10 times in total before they finally adnitted her and the doctor I saw there wanted to know why we hadn't bought her in before!!!!!

Oh and I think the current advice it to keep giving them their normal milk rather than avoiding it.
