anyone's carpal tunnel syn flared up with flu??

just had flu and suddenly agonising carpal tunnel syndrome. help!

hardly slept it was so painful. any tips, remedies or why it wd have come on like this?

just bumping. Googling I can't find any reason why it would suddenly flare up like this. Was bad like this after dd was born but that was years ago now. Just out of nowhere agonising pain last night and terrible numbness. Can a virus make it worse? Will go to do this week but curious to know if others have had this happen.

Yes it would flare up, anything that makes your joints more swollen or achy (like flu), or reduces circulation or increases your blood pressure (like dehydration) would contribute too.
Mine always flares up on aeroplanes (the joys of low pressure).

Ibuprofen? To reduce swelling. Hot bath but your arm kept out of the water to increase circulation elsewhere?

Thank you - reassuring to know the connection isn't strange. Wil try bath and ibuprofen before bed and hope I get some sleep!
