Blisters on sole of 1 foot....hand foot and mouth?

DTD1 has just shown me that she has a number of blisters on the sole of her foot.

I would say 15-20 lesions, and they definitely look like viral lesions as opposed to pressure blisters. Some are in rows...kind of like a shingles rash but I'm assuming v v unlikely to be shingles due to location.

Possibly see 1 on other foot but not.convinced. can't see any on palms and she says her mouth is fine.

Any other possibilities?

Off to google hfm.

Oh and she has been trying shoes.on today (with socks)...is that going to be an infection risk?

Might well be hf&m. When we had it dd1 had a mouth ulcer, dd2 had a rash all over both palms and I had it on the soles of my feet. Very prickly to walk on. Dr said it was classic symptoms and very unusual to see on an adult! Still definitely hf&m though.

Hmm...

Unsure.

Not spread overnight. Still only on the sole of 1 foot. Little lines and clusters of pox like blisters. Bit tougher though.

But apparently its not itchy (which fits with HF&M) and not painful which suggests it not shingles. But why only on 1 foot...

Has she had any meds recently. I first had blisters as a reaction to antibiotics. They recurred on and off for some while but not happened for years.

EdwiniasRevenge · 04/01/2013 12:04

Nope.

No meds. These really do like like viral vesicles....

Could it be verrucas?
Or some skin infection?

EdwiniasRevenge · 05/01/2013 21:03

Definitely not verucca's.

Could be a skin infection I guess. She went bowling and obviously hired shoes.

But my bloody stupid xp took her swimming today...

Probably hf&m then. Like I said we three had it in different places and it didn't spread.

My DD2 had hf&m mainly on her knees Hmm. It seems it can be very localised.
