TMI: Heavy period for 30 days and counting...

Is it anything to worry about?
I am on the pill, and during last month's pill packet I stopped mid-packet (as I'd forgotten one or two and thought I'd just stop it all together, and then resume the following month).
Towards when my period was due I had a strange feeling down there (sort-of heavy, like things were falling-out) for a few days, and then suddenly had copious amounts of cervical mucus (thick, gelatinous, mountains of the stuff).

Then when my period started a few days later it was all fairly normal...except the fact that 30 days later I'm still on it. It's not "old blood", it's definitely "fresh" blood (vivid red, mostly liquid with a few clots). It's fairly heavy (I need tampon and towel). No pain or other symptoms (despite feeling quite tired).

I'm assuming this bleed is all down to last month's mess-up with my pill, but just want to know if others have also had this, or if I should go to the docs. I tend to avoid doc as I was always there last year and am sure they think I'm a time-waster.

Any advice gratefully received.

Doesn't sound normal to me, seriously go to the doctor. Don't take advice from random strangers off the Internet.

See DR as soon as possible. Sounds like normal bleeding , and not period blood.
