Has anyone suddenly woken up with mouth ulcers when otherwise generally OK?

I used to get them a lot but not for years unless I am very run-down.

But how could I be run down when I work in school and have been off work for a week? I woke on Friday with two really bad ones and they are still incredibly painful.

I had been out the night before drinking (ahem) with some pals and we were on all sorts of noxious stuff (well, flavoured vodka etc) - DH came to fetch me! I don't normally drink beyond the very occasional glass of wine so wondered if that could be why?

Subsequently I felt fluet and grim on Sat but sure that was just my version of the lergy that is very much doing the rounds atm. Anyone had ulcers with that?

I get them when I have been eating crap, especially sugary crap. So every Christmas. Although I guess it could also be the alcohol, have never done a controlled experiment...

LOL @ controlled experiement.

Just that I never normally get them (now) and I never drink vodka and similar stuff so I was wondering if there was a link.

A lot better today anyway Smile
