She fell off of her rocker. Landed on her face, her front teeth went thru her top lip and part of it is still stuck between her teeth. Her little button nose is flat and swollen and she looks a mess. Spent 2 1/2 hrs at A&E and I feel awful and cry everytime I look at her.. She's 14mths... Has this happened to anyone else, and will her lip just work it's way out like the Dr said? She was so good and made no fuss. I feel like shite mummy no1

ah just realised you are off to bed.
listen I will be about tomroow if you want a chat. Make sure you've got plenty bonjella mouth wash calpol and nurofen.
Was it a childrens hosp you were at?
As for her poor wee nose, at this age her nose is mostly caritlage and up untill the age of two the shape can be very easily molded. WAit to the swelling goes down and see what your dealing with then take it from there.
Poor poor alibubbles...

you can make up a very very weak solution of cooled boiled water and a pinch of salt, dab it on to clean.

chapsmum · 16/04/2006 21:39

no way!!!
the drs are right. same pricniple to skin tags on the face, once you restrice to blood flow to tissue via tooth or else, eventually the piece of lip will just come away. and her lip should be fine.
there wee mouths have such a good blood supply they heal very quickly!

AllieBongo · 16/04/2006 21:40
