Blasted fucking piles Angry

They keep coming back despite all my efforts. I'm now at the point where I'm crying every time I have to go to the loo, & I can't get an appt with a gp before the 11th of Jan.

Has anyone else had them this badly, and how did you cope?

Ok bumping my own post....

Was at the gp today - who gave me lots of lovely pain killing stuff, but has told me that it looks like I have a fissure.

Anyone with experience of this? (regular poster etc - not a troll)

I had a fissure. I was given liquid laxative and some suppositories.

Horrible things, even sitting on the wonk was painful.

It felt a bit bizarre shoving the suppositories up my bum, but the relief was wonderful.

I also found sticking an ice pop along my bum crack helped a lot. If anybody says sitting on a cold surface causes piles they are talking out of their arse nonsense.

Silly question....have you tried Anusol? My friend swears by it.

Anusol only works if it's just piles, I was using tubes of the stuff. It gives a certain amount of relief but doesn't solve the fissure.

My dh got me the emergency appt (bless him) & the gp has given me laxido, steroid cream, suppositories, a gtn cream, and diclofenac to reduce swelling. The gtn cream is specifically for the fissure but it's giving me one hell of a headache.

Tbf I'd rather have a headache than feel like someone has shoved a hairbrush up my arse....

Got to use the appt on the 11th for an examination though Sad
