Issues with food! Do I need to insist on being looked at properly? (could be a long one)

Ok, I will start from the beginning so bear with me!

-Middle of Oct - I get a stomach bug. Diarrhoea, vomiting, feeling generally rough. Lasted a few days.

-Halloween night - I get compleatly exhausted about 9pm and take myself of to bed. 1am I am up and have to go to the bathroom. I am in there until 5.30 am with liquid diarrhoea and vomiting.
This carried on, on and off, for about a week.

I hadn't quite recovered from the first illness regarding eating back to normal. Obviously this one put me right of food due to the fact that it was, out one way or another almost straight away.

All the way through November/Most of December I had some sort of cold/felt queasy all the time. I don't think I felt 'well' for more than 3 days. Due to the lack of food I was very tired and started getting dizzy spells

I have basically lived of sandwiches since Oct. Lost a fair bit of weight.

Went to the Doc beginning of this month. He seems to think that where I have just picked up one thing after another my stomach is just unsure about food. He advised me to stay away from dairy for 10 days (as its a irritant not because of intolerance) and gave me some tablets to stop me from feeling nauseous all the time. Tablets did not help, nor did stopping dairy.
He did say to go back in 10 days if there was no improvement.

The weekend before last (about 8 days after seeing doc), my appetite came back. I was eating better, had managed to eat a few hot meals with no ill effects and then a week ago today I got sick again (a bug). I couldn't stand up without feeling dizzy and blacking out. It was a 24 hour thing. Threw me right back to square one. :(

Yesterday I had my xmas dinner and today has been spent on the toilet/throwing up/generally exhausted.

Now, I am pretty sure that every time am ill its something different. Even though every time I feel shit - its a different type of feeling shit iyswim. I personally think its what the doc said. My stomach has taking a bashing and is struggling to get back to normal. Problem I am having is that its a viscous circle - I eat, I get sick, I get put off food......

Am I right? Is it just that I seem to be picking up every bloody bug going atm (dh/ds have had nothing!)? Or do I need to go and get checked out properly?
A few people have said I should be well over this by now and I should push for tests? (What tests?!?) Confused

I normally love my food, but the though/smell of something at the moment just makes me think 'urgh'!

No I am not pregnant!

Any opinions welcome.
TIA

You may just be run down (I'm not a doctor). It sounds like you are catching every bug going. It is certainly worth keeping off dairy products as the doctor says.

It is probably impossible but can you make sure you get loads of sleep every night even if that m eans going to sleep when the children do?
Secondly get as many outside walks as you can.
Thirdly only eat whole healthy foods always, lots of veg, good meat or fish or eggs and all those things which improve the immune system. Wash your hands hot water soap etc a lot to stop spread of germs.

The novovirus is going round and a lot of people have sickness at present too.
