sick bugs that last a long time?

I got it first a week ago today in the night. Then dd (4) on Monday morning and dp on Monday night in the night.

It's been a horrible bug, really strips you out, 'both ends' IYKWIM?

The thing is, they are both seeming better yesterday and today and are starting to eat again. But I can't face anything. I was still retching yesterday. I haven't today but my stomach is hot and sore. So I've lived on water for a week!

Anyone else had something like this? Any suggestions?

We have had things like that quite often - what do the nappies smell like or if they are older - their (sorry) poos?? It could be something like rotavirus which has a very distinctive smell (!!) and can take a while to clear as true to its name it can go in a cycle of vomiting, dihorrea, vomit etc until out of your system. 2 of mine have even had a night in hospital with it - more due to dehydration. If you/they are keeping down fluids dont worry too much. Could you try something like diaorylte to get the balance of salt/sugars back??? Best of luck

Dd didn't have any diarrhea with it, just two days of being sick. Dp was sick for 2 days but didn't manage to eat for about 4. But they're both fine now, it's only me left feeling like my stomach's lined with sandpaper ... Sad
