Dp had burning chest and high bp today

He said he'll go and see someone in the week but I think he should see someone now. His bp was 151/105 and the burning pain was in the middle of his chest. He looked pale too.

I know he's eaten more rubbish than normal but not excessive. He's mid 50s and overweight plus has a fat stomach, all pointers for heart disease.

His mum has angina so that's in the family.

He's not been stressed today in fact quite the opposite. Loving being relaxed. He's done most of the dinner.

Yes, I would feel the same (ie would want him to see someone sooner than 'in the week').

Burning pain may well be indigestion, of course, but only a doctor can tell. Is his bp still high, or has it settled?

Phone. NHS Direct

Elibean · 25/12/2012 18:14

Yes, second that. Was just coming back to add 'NHS Direct' as a 'ps'

juniperdewdrop · 25/12/2012 23:05

I told him to phone NHS direct but he knew they'd send someone out then put him in hospital. His bp came right down.
I'm making him go to the walk in centre tomorrow. I'm so worried but can't force him to do anything.

That sounded hypocritical. I said he has to go to walk in centre tomorrow as it's not fair to worry me. Plus he agreed but wouldn't go anywhere today. He's in bed now.
