I've got a neurological disability that affects my walking and balance, but I've only had it a year so I'm still adjusting to it!
Last Friday (9 days ago) my dc were ALL off school with noovirus (yay thanks dh who is a GP, I'm sure he brought it home!)
Dd2 managed to vomit on the kitchen floor. I managed to clean it up! Amazing! But the floor was wet. I went into the kitchen in my bare feet, slipped on the floor, caught my shoulder on the open cupboard door and my head on the floor.
My head is fine now. My shoulder, not so much! I've been trying to rest it and ben taking regular ibuprofen and co-codamol. But I can't reach for things and the pain has interfered with my sleep.
I know I should ask dh. But I know he'll make me go to hospital. It's not broken, I can move ok and it's getting better slowly.
So, do you think I should go to A&E on Christmas eve with a 10 day old injury when I know they will just strap it up, or should I just try not to use it much and carry on with the 1001 things still needing done.
I must add, due to my recent disability, this time last year I couldn't walk. I was wheeled into hospital at new year. This year needs to be normal for my dc, who have had to deal with disabled mummy this year!
