Anyone know what you can take for a very sore throat while pregnant? I'm six months along. It was so painful last night it woke me up. Any advice appreciated!

Drink plenty of fluids (water is best). You can take glycerol cough medicine (Boots do a nice lemon flavoured one) to soothe it, as well as sucking on lozenges, such as Halls Soothers. Honey and lemon tea is gentle on the throat, too.

You might want to check with your CMW as to whether you can gargle with soluble aspirin. Obviously, you can't ingest this, but as gargling is localised to the throat, you might. Just check.

Get well soon!!
