In the last few months my hair has been greasier, I've got more spots now than I had as a teenager and my period has arrived early twice........

Deffo not PG enid, period literally only finished yesterday and was totally normal. I'd be absolutley stunned if I was...actually beyond stunned.

Cutting out sugar would be ok...but caffine?? OMG I'd die without tea...is it possible to survive without tea? It's like oxygen to meWinkWink

No hot flushes.

Lady TH, I have all the same symptoms as you (but without the skyhigh libido - mine's still a zero) and was about to suggest the menopause too, but I see you are a good 10 years younger than me.

Have you recently(ish) had a baby or come off the pill?

LadyTophamHatt · 11/04/2006 18:59

my youngest is 2.5 yrs and I haven't been on the pill for about 8 or 9 years.

god....it really would be my worst nightmare is it was this. I want another baby FGS, ok Dh doesn't want anymore but I don't want the descision taken out of our hands altogether.

Hmmm. I'd give it another couple of months (keep a diary of how you feel, what's going with your period, etc) and def. see your doctor if things don't return to normal. Especially if you are contemplating another baby.

Is the starflower oil for PMT then?

LadyTophamHatt · 11/04/2006 19:18

I'm always comtemplating another baby, Mercy. DH isn't, If I'm honest I don't really think there will be anymore even though I'd love another.
The thought of it all being taken away from me horrifies me.

I'll keep an eye on it all. I've had alot of stress since xmas so maybe it could be that

mmm it does sound like your pg, even if you think you had af, do a test

LadyTophamHatt · 11/04/2006 19:21

Noooo, as much as I'd love it I'd never believe it.
Not in a million years could I be PG.

well obviously I could but I'm not so.....

It could be perimenopause. That can start a decade before menopause.

LadyTophamHatt · 11/04/2006 19:31

Whats one of those then?

LadyTophamHatt · 11/04/2006 19:42

christ..I've just remembered a period months back when it was late too.

started a thread on here under a secret name.

it was over a week late in the end and that never happened before either.

Shit. Will get appt at doc tomoorow...

do you know I started this thread almost as a little joke... I was going to tell you all about my spotty chin, wasn't really thinking about what it could be, not really worried at all.
I feel worried now.....

Perimenopause is when the hormones start fluctuating in the years before menopause. Really, you are young LTH. Pregnancy is more likely.

chonky · 11/04/2006 20:27

LTH, I'd have thought it might be stress (not that I'm an expert or anything!). My skin has a breakout and my hair gets greasier any time I have anything vaguely angsty/ stressful going on.

foxinsocks · 11/04/2006 20:36

I have started going through this and I'm a similar age to you. I'm not pregnant and I spoke to the GP about this (when I went for something else) and she was completely disinterested - very much gave me the what do you expect look!

My PMT has gone mad, I am more spotty than I've ever been, I've got v greasy hair and I've started getting migraines.

I'm sure I'm starting this perimenopause lark.

Passionflower · 11/04/2006 21:23

LTH, I am 32, have a 2.5yo DD and I was saying to DH only yerterday that I seem to be getting very spotty lately. I too would faint if pg - DH has been snipped so I'd have some explaining to do.

Passionflower · 11/04/2006 21:24

Oh poo, it's not my spelling it's my rubbish keyboard. Has been abused by my sister and you have to really pound the keys.

Oblomov · 11/04/2006 21:26

I am the same LTH.
I am 33, ds 2.2 - greasy hair, not pg, put on weight, much more hairy.
Have had blood tests.
Nothing.
Just assumed hormones going wild.
