index fingertip numb for last 3 days

any ideas what this might be? It's not causing any problems or pain - it's just numb at the very tip - as if the very tip has been sliced off and put back on. Does anyone have any ideas? Is it something I need to visit the Drs for?

Could be Reynaud's disease. Does it react to sudden changes in temperature? Did it start when you went out in the cold? I have this and it can be a bit of a pain but it's nothing to worry about.

Thanks lurking have looked at Raynaud's but I'm not getting the whiteness, although it could be cold related as it's bloody freezing here! The numbness has spread down as far as the base of my fingernail on one side now.
