its huge. I can feel it. there is one that has burst on my gum and this huge fuck off monster of a lump on the roof. it hurts. a lot.

it hurts to eat.

I sound drunk because my mouth is swollen.

I have swilled my mouth with hot salt water and am getting corsadyl tomorrow, any further advice?

Swill soluble solpadeine round your mouth.
Corsodyl.
Maybe some iglu gel?

If you can find it, Frador. It's a little bottle of red tincture that you apply with a cotton bud. It stings like buggery but clears them up really quickly.

Also, how about a good multivitamin to help your immune system, presumably you're under the weather if you've got the ulcers?

Thank you both! I take a lot of meds, so I assume that's why they keep appearing but christ, they hurt. And its going to pop isn't it

If it were me I would pop it so I could control when and where so to speak...but I am odd :)

BlameItOnTheChoirOfAngels · 10/12/2012 17:54

Noooo, its far too big to pop myself. And it will taste rank.

Try Difflam mouthwash - contains a local anaesthetic and is more soothing than corsodyl.

Ah, thank you! From somewhere like boots, I presume?

Yes you can get it in a rinse or a spray.

kiwigirl42 · 10/12/2012 19:37

ooh, poor, poor you. You need some stronger painkillers from the GP. I never knew mouth ulcers could pop, I though they sort of just wore through

BlameItOnTheChoirOfAngels · 10/12/2012 19:52

I will give my gp a call tomorrow. Or would the dentist be my best bet?

OP posts:

Try your dentist.
Good kuck

Okey dokey, cheers. I have a sore throught this morning and swollen glands, so I'm guessing that they could all be linked. Shouldve had my tonsils out years ago!
