Bleeding in Between Periods - what could be causing this?

Hi

I thought I had come on last week but the "period" stopped an hour later and now today I am bleeding like you would at the end of your period. I had a smear last month - all clear - but am currently on penicillin for tonsilitis which has given me really dry skin. Could it be the penicillin causing this and if not what is?? I am getting quite worried

Thanks in advance

Hi - how old is your dd? I had this when ds was about 15 months old. After full Doctor examination/tests and no problems, she said after childbirth your uterus/cervix(?) can be rough for awhile as opposed to smooth and this can sometimes cause bleeding inbetween periods. I only had the bleeding a handfull of times and don't get it anymore. I would go and have a chat though just to see what they say.

I had this when I was in my twenties for months, and then it stopped. GP said it was "hormonal imbalances"? I was probably under stress around that time.

I had my DD 4 years ago so sadly no gegs73.

Hormone Imbalances? I hope so! Was worried about the big C to be honest. Have booked a DR's appointment but now feel as though I may be about to come on. Should I still go even if I do come on and just see if it happens again. Don't want to waste my DR's time if it only happens once

This happened to me in my twenties.

GP said I was bleeding when I was ovulating. It lasted about 5 months and then stopped.
