If this isn't a migraine, then what is it?

Every now and again my vision goes really strange, its been happening all my life. It starts with a blind spot in one eye & spreads into a strange pixelated (sp) blur. Usually lasts an hour. Not sure what the trigger is, only it happened more when I was pg. TIA.

Sounds like a occular migraine. I get them sometimes without a headache. Like a zigzaggy pattern lasts about 20 mins then goes. Worse for me with pmt so could be hormone related?

Sounds like a silent migraine, when you have no headache like Frazzled says.

20 mins this time.. Thanks for the suggestions! Just looked up occular migraines, sounds about right. Think I'll make an appointment with the doc, finally get it checked out after 37 years
