I've POAS and got a BFN, coupled with very little sex it's highly unlikely I'm pregnant.

I was on cerazette for 3 months, stopped taking it in September as it wouldn't have worked with another medication I was starting. Had sex, condom slipped - didnt come off, just slipped up a little - took MAP as a precaution. Had period end of Oct, due 7 days ago, Aunt Flo not arrived.

Any ideas?

My theory is that A: the MAP gave me a period that I wouldn't have had if I hadn't taken it due to the cerazette or B: the new medication I'm on (topiramate) has affected my cycle. According to 2 pharmacists this impossible, according to folk on other forums they have experienced it.

So, I'm confused Confused

Have you done a pregnancy test? Just to be sure Smile
If you're not pregnant, I would just wait & see what happens. If you haven't had a period next month I would go back to your GP then. Coming off the pill can take a while to get back to normal.

Also were you on a 4 week cycle prior to the cerazatte? Breakthrough bleeds on the pill aren't actually periods.

But you've had a lot of medication by the sound of it, I'd give it a week or so. Even if the medication itself isn't supposed to effect your cycle, presumably you're taking it for a reason which itself unsettle your cycle a little, plus stress from having to take the MAP, plus coming off the pill stuffs your cycle up for a couple of months sometimes. And make sure you POAS again first thing in the morning just in case.

Its a long time since I've taken the MAP so I can't remember what effect it had on my cycle, sorry.

You have to take balance diet and make sure that you are taking required calories/day.The food rich in proteins will be very helpful for you to overcome this problem. There might be some hormonal imbalance and you should discuss with your GP.

Thanks!

Have poas and definitely neg - took it apart to be sure and no trace of a line at all.

I feel like I'm going to get a period - back and tummy cramps, sore boobs etc - just can't understand why I haven't come on yet. It's a mystery.

Will give it a couple more days and test again, but I'm almost positive I'm not pg.

Thanks again
